- Noté 2 sur 5par TroyDowling, il y a un anIn all previous versions, Wikiwand was a really nice UI overhaul for Wikipedia. I essentially used it as a dark mode theme, with nicer typesetting. I enjoyed having a modern looking, easy to read, and distraction-free Wiki experience. That was my entire use case.
The recent update was a large overhaul to Wikiwand. So much so, that it doesn't feel right to even compare this version to the last. The newest update brought a whole lot of nonsense from "AI powered" popups, larger than half-the-screen coverup login prompts (an account for *what* purpose?), and visual distractions like the new AI chat and Q/A sections.
Ultimately, this new version departs completely from my use case and my taste, and its functionality is replaced by Dark Reader and Wikipedia's own modern theme.
Thanks for the happy years, Wikiwand. For your final trick, you can vanish from my extensions list. - Noté 4 sur 5par LiuWei, il y a un an

- Noté 4 sur 5par Octavian, il y a un anGreat idea. But please let us control the position and size of the newly added photo viewer. Customisation is part of Wikiwand "credo", so why not do that?
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18576897 de Firefox, il y a un anI used to love the UI improvements that Wikiwand made to wikipedia, but now they have filled their website with an AI chatbot, ads, popups, content locked behind an account, and other useless features. I will no longer be using wikiwand.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Andrew Scheel, il y a un anNew layout sucks big time!
This USED to be a good extension. - Noté 1 sur 5par Jakey, il y a un an
- Noté 1 sur 5par taki, il y a un anIt used to be good some time ago. Last update made Wikipedia's Main page to appear broken introducing an AI chatbot and most customization features available before (including black theme) are now locked behind a monthly subscription paywall which promotes other AI features.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Agent Retard (CIA Employee), il y a un anThis extension used to be good, not anymore. Aint paying a single penny. AI horsesht garbage
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 14338612 de Firefox, il y a un anThis takes the collaborative spirit of Wikipedia and warps it into a mess filled with ads and shady connections. (At least) one of the developers has intellectually, materially and technologically benefited a discriminatory settler-colonial regime, which adds a disturbing layer to the whole project. This is the perfect example of 'entrepreneurs' taking someone else's hard work and making money off of it, all the while violating the spirit of the creation. Thanks but no, thanks. I'll stick to the boring old 'outdated' version of the site that the community has been diligently working on for ages instead of this AI filled garbage :)
Edit: forgot to add - check out how many servers worldwide this thing is shaking hands with in the background while you're reading your article on Nabataea or the Achaemenids. You might be terribly surprised.
Edit 2: From the horse's own mouth

But now the AI crap is annoying. Wikipedia has a nice looking site now. I don't need this bloat anymore. Also, don't pay for this mess. Give your money to Wikipedia directly.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 18570609 de Firefox, il y a un anThe new layout is not needed and the AI features are absolutely useless and not needed. Wikiwand should be a wikipedia rebrand, not adding its own "features" that nobody asked for
- Noté 1 sur 5par Davide, il y a un anplease revert to the last version, this update made UI/UX worse.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13418289 de Firefox, il y a un anNeedless AI bandwagoning
- Noté 1 sur 5par kimiz, il y a un anHorrible user interface change. The developers added a paywall that on top of restricting access to AI features (i.e. summaries, which used to be free), it also now blocks customization through themes and fonts. Moreover, this terrible update made me learn that this product is sharing user data with 'partners'. Uninstalled.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Cliesens, il y a un anThe addon was great until the new update which changed the layout significantly, for the worse.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 17545258 de Firefox, il y a un anI installed this for the redesign, not for the AI features I do not care about. And now I have to stare at it, even if it's closed.
- Noté 1 sur 5par Sophon96, il y a un anWikiwand recently pushed its new "omni" version to main, and it sucks.
