- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19131306, 9 days agoKind of works sometimes. The extension for Firefox on Mac skips identity fields and sometimes doesn't respond at all. It's a good thing it's free, although it's still getting uninstalled. This was a really frustrating exercise in futility.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Aki, 13 days agoProvides valuable and important service to me and I used to like this a lot.
For long time now extensions behavior has gotten worse and worse.
Popups with password suggestion and save suggestions popup every where to the point that I have had disable almost everything from this extension.
So I no longer cannot get suggestion to fill my credentials for login forms because random popups break so many other sites, some of don't even have login prompts. - Rated 2 out of 5by Fred, 18 days agoI love this add-on and have used it for over a year now on several devices, it always worked perfectly. Now, suddenly, I can log in, but after, the little window stays completely empty, the short-cuts to fill in forms and passwords doesn't work anymore and I can't find a way to fix it. I haven't changed anything in my settings or security, so it must be a bug with the add-on. As soon as that's fixed, I'll gladly give this five stars again!

- Rated 2 out of 5by Dewayne, a month ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by Mathias, a month agoI find it mind-boggling that the chromium version is at v2025.7.0, while the one on gecko is still at v2025.2.0, which is still dated March 21, 2025... why don't you update it? It's a great extension but I find that the version gap is just huge... the version on the add-ons is listed as v2025.6.1, but I can't update it on my browser I'm stuck on v2025.2.0

- Rated 2 out of 5by Nawan, 4 months agoIt's really slow and bloated. If you're thinking this Bitwarden browser extension is just for viewing, copying, or filling out passwords on website login forms, think again.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17153298, 4 months agoHere are all the things currently wrong with the firefox plugin as of may 2025.
1. search box is no longer in focus when you open the plugin
2. the clear (x) button is missing from the search box now
3. you can't select text in the url field of an entry with the mouse.
4. the totp copy button is lit up for every entry even if they don't have a code stored. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18620115, 4 months agoEverything has been perfect for years, but now they decided to redesign the plugin and basic functionality like typing, clicking, viewing and editing is broken. Just roll it back to last year's version, this redesign was a mistake.
- Rated 2 out of 5by th3raid0r, 5 months agoLots of regressions lately - often times the list will fail to load on certain sites. I find myself using the desktop app more often because of this.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12735320, 5 months agoThe number of times I lost new credentials or progress in credentials that I was editing just because I wanted to copy a URL or email from outside and lost focus on the popup is ridiculous.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18883179, 6 months agoThe new version of this extension is a straight downgrade. I gave it a few months to see if it was just familiarity and nope - it's very slow and requires extra clicks for what was previously top-level functionality. The service is great, the app is fine, this extension has gotten pretty bad unfortunately. Doesn't even remember my username for more than one login after checking the "remember" box.
- Rated 2 out of 5by speed, 6 months agoIve never written reviews. But bitwarden has become bad and frustrating. Crazy.
The thing is, I have a protonmail subscription. I was just testing out proton-pass, i rarely used my sub because I just used it for mail. But _wow_. Proton-pass is so good! I will use that for now, the impression is awesome.
Sad bitwarden turned out like this. Im actually a paying customer. - Rated 2 out of 5by AJLobo, 6 months agoI rarely write reviews, but I think this is warranted. The clean, minimal interface that we used to have is gone in favor of a more clunky, busy UI. This is a regression. It even takes over a second to load all the elements on the popout. Also, why would you hide the autofill function under a secondary menu when this is the entire reason we use this extension?!
Lastly, now it gives you suggestions for logins which take priority over your favorited logins. What's next, AI integration to better inform us on how to use a password vault? - Rated 2 out of 5by Gilladur, 6 months agoI have to agree to the negative feedback on the latest version. The extension is less intuitive.
I'm really missing the function to use a catch all email and have the domain automatically set as the local part ([email protected]) - why was this function removed? - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18866214, 6 months agoAbsolute shambles of an update. Why do companies do this, completely change everything about the way an app or feature works so your muscle memory makes you click the wrong thing every time. Also looks awful, no idea who has had a go at writing this version but they should get someone with some UX experience on the job again, or at least someone who has used a computer before.
Will be looking for alternatives after this. - Rated 2 out of 5by sfertman, 6 months agoThis is a great password manager but the latest update is a disaster. Smaller fonts and larger buttons. Autofill doesn't work the way it used to (by clicking on the card.) Looks like this was made for mobile users at the expense of desktop users. Which doesn't make any sense because there's already a monkey-finger-poking app for mobile; why ruin a good thing for desktop users???
- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 18857038, 7 months agoSo much about the new interface has made this excellent tool more cumbersome to interact with. There are some tweaks in the settings which can help a bit, but filling in forms has become much more difficult as these are no longer on the default page and there is no obvious fill option. You have to mark them as favourites and they just get mixed in with login items. I would now struggle to reccomend this add-on.
- Rated 2 out of 5by RT, 7 months agoHow do I go back to the old interface where I could click ANYWHERE and it would just work. Now I click 14 times, because click (like I used to), go back, close the edit, rage smash the keyboard, reboot after replacing my keyboard, start completely over, have to say "click the little fuqing button" 180 times while it boots up, click the STUPID button.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Gee, 7 months agoThe current version 2024.12.4 of the extension is incompatible with the latest version 2025.1.3 of the desktop app.
- Rated 2 out of 5by John Doe, 7 months agoAnnoying behaviour.
Doesn't save credentials, edit button not responsive, hogs the Firefox app and you have to force close the browser, cannot unlock using phone unlock code.
You get what you pay
