by Firefox user 14316038, 3 years agoThis extension is pretty good, but needs specific improvements in order to be worthy of 5 Stars. First of all, it does not coordinate with the MS Store Bitwarden App. This seems very strange. For example, I just changed the password for my VPN online at the VPN's website. I did this on my iPhone using the iCloud PW manager functions to generate the new password. I then copied and pasted the new password into the iPhone Bitwarden app. Shortly afterwards, maybe an hour later, I was using my Windows laptop and the Firefox browser and attempted to login to my VPN. When the extension autofilled the password, it was the old password. I thought, Okay, it must not have synced password databases yet. I started the store app and tried autofilling from there, and sure enough, it had the old password, too. So I forced a sync, and it now had the new password. However, when I returned to the Firefox extension and tried to autofill, it again filled the old password! What? So I had to force a sync with the extension before it actually contained the new password! This is nothing but stupid.
Additionally, why do I have to keep logging into the extension with biometrics when I've already logged into the app using biometrics. Or indeed, when I've already logged into Windows using biometrics? This also is a stupid duplication of effort and waste of precious time.
Come on, people. I know you can do better than this.
***** Update 6/5/2023: My earlier comments are still applicable. Now, though, the extension has started logging me out of my account. This is new behavior that did not happen before. When it logs me out, I am only logged out on the extension. I remain logged into my account on the MS Store app. But in order to log back in on the extension, I have to pull up the store app, unlock the vault with biometrics, lookup my master password, copy it to the clipboard, and then use it to log back in to the extension.
It's still a pretty good security app. But although they keep making little tweaks to it, they still haven't fixed the major issues I've reported here.

- Rated 3 out of 5by lrmr, 2 days agoWhat I find absolutely frustrating is the apparent lack of synchronization of access data across different devices. It either doesn’t happen at all or takes days to complete.
It’s really annoying to always have to log in to the web version just to access the most current and complete version of your login data.
A manual “Synchronize” button would be extremely helpful! - Rated 5 out of 5by danilo, 7 days ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 19131306, 18 days agoKind of works sometimes. The extension for Firefox on Mac skips identity fields and sometimes doesn't respond at all. It's a good thing it's free, although it's still getting uninstalled. This was a really frustrating exercise in futility.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Riyat_LOre2024, 19 days ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18459626, 20 days agoThis password manager has been, by far, the best overall value and utility I have ever had, beating out both 1password and last pass. $10/yr is a steal. Even for a current annoyance with their plugin for firefox, its been super stable overall and continues to work in chrome and on mobile and such. This is what I am setting up my family members with, no regrets.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Aki, 22 days agoProvides valuable and important service to me and I used to like this a lot.
For long time now extensions behavior has gotten worse and worse.
Popups with password suggestion and save suggestions popup every where to the point that I have had disable almost everything from this extension.
So I no longer cannot get suggestion to fill my credentials for login forms because random popups break so many other sites, some of don't even have login prompts. - Rated 1 out of 5by narsi, a month agodoes not work. useless. can't log in even though the stuff i'm putting in is right.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Fred, a month agoI love this add-on and have used it for over a year now on several devices, it always worked perfectly. Now, suddenly, I can log in, but after, the little window stays completely empty, the short-cuts to fill in forms and passwords doesn't work anymore and I can't find a way to fix it. I haven't changed anything in my settings or security, so it must be a bug with the add-on. As soon as that's fixed, I'll gladly give this five stars again!
