A Firefox addon that allows you to use keyboard shortcuts to traverse parent tabs. The default keyboard shortcuts are Ctrl+Alt+D for next\down and Ctrl+Alt+U for previous\up. These can be changed in about:addons -> Manage Extension Shortcuts.
This can be useful when used in conjunction with addons like "Tree Style Tab" (TST) and "Sidebery" as this will allow you to switch between parent tabs of trees, which if used as "root tabs of topics", allows you to quickly move across topics.
There does seem to be a limitation with Firefox. When a tab is created and then moved to be a top of a tree (tab with no parent itself), the "openerTabID" is not updated properly. This means that any new tab like this will not be treated as the root of a tree and skipped over when using the keyboard shortcuts.
This issue is resolved after the browser is restarted. I will continue to see if there is any other way to resolve this without restarting the browser.
