This is likely due to the codec of the sound file not being supported when playing from an extension unfortunately. But Not working at all in windows 8.1. It doesn't play any sound, not even the predefined one, and keeps showing the same error message...開發者回應

Alas, no sound is played when I push the play button in the options, or when I have a notification :-/ and sound selection seems buggy.
I'd really like to use it with Nextcloud Talk, that would be great.開發者回應
張貼於 7 年前The supported sound file formats depend on your operating system and Firefox version. If you can hear no sound that most likely means that Firefox can not play that sound. Alternatively, the volume could be set too low to be audible. Thank you for the suggestion. It's something I initially had planned, but discarded because I thought it wasn't possible. Turns out it is possible after all!
I've uploaded a preview version as "1.1.0pre01" (get it fromhttps://addons.vaultpit.io/en-US/firefox/addon/notification-sound/versions/beta ) that plays the notification sound when a download finishes and Firefox is not focused. If you want to give further feedback, please use the support e-mail linked on the right side of the add-on listing, since I do not get notified if you edit your review.
