Thank you for the review. You can indeed display the "Save as" dialog if necessary. There is an option for that and it's documented, see "File name > open the save as dialog to confirm the filename". By default, files are automatically saved into your downloads folder. If you want to choose another folder, configure Firefox to save files into this folder, see https://support.mozilla.org/kb/where-find-and-manage-downloaded-files-firefox#w_change-where-downloads-are-saved. Finally, the template of the file name in SingleFile allows you to save files in a sub-folder of your downloads folder, see the help page in SingleFile for more info.

EDIT: Uncheck "Misc. > Save pages in background" to remember the last location of your saved files. It's documented in the known issues here: https://github.com/gildas-lormeau/SingleFile#known-issues.

EDIT #2: You may also need to enable "Always ask you where to save files" in the options page of Firefox and disable "File name > open the save as dialog to confirm the filename" in SingleFile. Otherwise a simple "save as" popup will be displayed before the native "save as" dialog.

Unfortunately does not save working JavaScript for the site I've tried. (Removed the network block and some JS features worked, but not the most important ones.)

I was looking for a feature similar to Scrapbook, which was available in an earlier version of Firefox Add-on, and I am generally satisfied with SingleFile.

However, there are some areas where it falls short on pages with images.
Many pages display images in a reduced size, and when you click on them, they enlarge, but it is a bit disappointing that you cannot capture the enlarged image.

In many cases, the enlarged images are displayed in a reduced size even if they are stored in a different directory within the same domain.
If this issue were addressed, I would be very satisfied.

This thing does what it says it does, and super well. I'm really, really happy with how well the extension manages to capture *exactly* what is on the page. It's pretty much perfect.

I literally use it almost everyday. The most convenient tool in my life. Especially the "Save selection" one, which helps me to save insights from chatgpt and such stuff, which I can't "just screenshot". Love you and your work very much. Thank you!

Esta extensão é fundamental para meu trabalho. Utilizo muito a ferramenta de anotar e salvar página para rascunhar em cima. Grifar os trechos que acho importante e também excluir os elementos que não me servem.
