- I've been using "Malwarebytes Browser Guard" for a couple of months, and I've noticed a few issues.
There's no doubt it does a great job blocking malicious sites, trackers, scams, etc. But it also slows down the browser when I have several tabs open or when loading more than one tab at the same time. After testing, I noticed a pattern (at least in my case): the more images a website has (Google Maps, ArtStation, Pinterest, etc.), the worse the browser's performance gets. So, I went into the extension's settings and disabled its three main features (Ads/Trackers = Off, Malware = Off, Scams = Off) for each of these sites, but to my surprise, it didn't work—the sites were still slow. I assume that Malwarebytes is still scanning all the links on the site, but the fact that this happens even after disabling those features feels like a big flaw. Hopefully, it's just me not knowing how to use the extension properly, but for now, I had to disable it.
At first, I thought the issue was related to my browser's cache or something similar, so I reset the browser, and that fixed it temporarily. However, once I reinstalled my extensions, the issue came back. After testing them one by one, I found out that the problem was caused by "Malwarebytes Browser Guard."
This wouldn't be such a big deal, but I use the aforementioned pages a lot and at least I think that many users also use Google Maps and from my experience, that's where the issue is the worst.개발자 답글
9달 전에 게시됨Thanks for the detailed feedback. We are working on performance enhancements, keep an eye out for more updates. - The tool is excellent, but the current problem is that the Browser Guard for Mozilla Firefox version is not receiving updates to the latest version available like other browsers. The website says it is already at version 3.0 and here it is at version: 2.6.27. Please update, we know how important it is to keep the software updated and with the latest definitions.

9달 전에 게시됨Firefox is still getting database updates every 30 minutes for new threats in the wild.
We are currently working on migrating the Firefox extension to the new Manifest v3 format (MV3).
Due to the differences between Firefox and Chromium (Chrome, Edge etc.) engines we've had to take more time to ensure it is right.
We are hoping to have a beta of the new Firefox MV3 version out soon. - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 18692366 님, 10달 전

- This extension does not work with tumblr at all. At first it just denied me the ability to see the post screen when I went to make a post. Then it began to do the same thing to reblogs. At this point, it actively goes to a black screen after approximately 1-2 seconds of seeing any page. I turn this single extension off, presto, everything works again. Turn it back on, boom, all black screens again. Since I use tumblr all the time, this means I cannot use this extension (that I dearly want to use!). Please please fix it so I can use tumblr again. Thanks!

일 년 전에 게시됨Hi there,
This is due to a conflict with our Easylist protection, we will fix it on our side.
In the meantime, you can toggle Easylist on/off on Tumblr, by:
1. Navigating to Tumblr
2. Click on the Browser Guard icon in your browser's toolbar.
3. In the list of trackers blocked, you will see "Easylist".
4. Click on the "..." next to it.
5. Click "Allow on this website"

일 년 전에 게시됨Here are some instructions for adding YouTube to the allow list for ads/trackers:
1. Click on the Browser Guard icon in your Browser's toolbar.
2. Click on the "..." top right of the page
3. Click Allow List
1. On the Allow list screen, click the +Add website button.
2. Enter the website's URL in the Add a URL or IP address field.
3. In the Disable protections drop-down, click Ad trackers.
4. Click Add to allow list. Browser Guard will no longer block ads from this site.- Impressions after about a week of use.
Individual pages seem to load faster, but the behavior of the browser itself before and after loading seems to deteriorate (especially when multiple pages are opened at the same time).
Also, some sites don't respond to reCAPTCHA authentication, which may have been blocked.
I think the ability to detect trackers and block malware domains is high, scam sites (phishing?) aren't counted yet, so I'll leave them out of the current reference. - 5점 만점에 5점Firefox 사용자 18548902 님, 일 년 전
