3 stars is mainly because this used to be a 5-star addon. Now it is just slightly better than the rest. But at least in the new version, the icon couldn't even be moved out of the navigation bar - it remained stuck in 'More Tools'.. So I couldn't even see the basic weather info at a glance.
I like having several days in the addon bar, and being able to hover over one and get more info - ESPECIALLY for the RADAR!
I reverted back to 2.4.8 and turned of automatic updates.. Like more and more addons these days, due to Mozilla's bulls**t. The regular Firefox is barely even usable to me anymore, so I use Cyberfox instead and turn off addon compatibility checking.
I did note that the search was broken like the author said, but fortunately I had all the cities already in. Maybe the author can tell how to manually add them in about:config??
Way to go Mozilla! Continually screwing over all the addon developers again and again and again and again. It's no wonder why so many addons have become abandoned.
Edit after developer reply:
I know it's not you, sorry if I made it sound that way. If it helps, yours [3.4] was the only one I tried that formatted the popup correctly - and looked the nicest and neatest. Hopefully in newer versions you could at least allow the icon/text to be moved elsewhere (including a statusbar, for Firefox forks like Cyberfox).
I can only hope Cyberfox sticks with the older code line, at least as an option. I currently still enjoy having the statusbar, and being able to see multiple days in it, with popup info & radar. I forgot to check if v3.4 allowed popup radar, because that is extraordinarily important to me in a weather addon - as opposed to having to open up a webpage that may take a good while to load.

pubblicato il 8 anni faSorry, but the statusbar/addonbar is missing in new versions of Firefox.
The current version of Forecastfox is the version for the new API: WebExtensions
But I'm not guilty - these are the inevitable changes in Firefox.

- Valutata 4 su 5di cr0wgrrl, 10 giorni faThis is still the best weather add-on. The current version is NOT corrupt - it just doesn't work because it has not been signed (and the creator lives in the Ukraine, so... *fingers crossed*). Thankfully, the folks in the support forums have figured out how to get it to load. It's still hands-down better than the next most popular option, so I highly recommend checking out the forums and installing it.

- Fix info from forum:
As has been posted, the key is to export all of your current settings to a text file using the button at the bottom of the Options section titled "Save Settings".
Then, open that saved text file and go to the line that begins with "Locations list". For your primary location, make sure the city ID, latitude and longitude are all correct. If some other location is there, change the text to your city name and city ID. The city ID is found by opening the Accuweather web page for your location and then looking at the URL for that page. The 6 or 7 digit number for that web page is the city ID for that location. Copy it and paste it into the saved text file on the Locations list instead of any other city ID you find there. Then search the web for the latitude and longitude of your primary location and paste those into the same line instead of any other latitude and longitude you find there. Check the post in this thread dated February 25, 2024 by @Drengelus describing how to get your city ID.
If you want to add a second location, then put a comma after the information for your primary location (just before the ] bracket) and add all of the same text and information that is contained for your primary location with the city name, city ID, latitude and longitude for your secondary location. Check the post in this thread dated April 7, 2025 by @ST Dog for where to place this text in the Locations list line of the settings file.
When you have done this for all locations you desire to add, then save the file. Import this settings file back into ForecastFox using the Load Settings button at the end of the Options section.
Everything should then work, including the ability to switch between your primary and secondary locations. If you want to add additional locations, you will have to add them manually in the same way to the Location line of the exported settings file and then re-import. The graphical interface method of adding additional locations still does not work. - Valutata 1 su 5di Jerry44939, 3 mesi faThis was my favorite --but for about a year now I cannot change the area from New York
