Very useful tool to show what is going on "under the hood" during a SAML Web-SSO (or WS-Federation) authentication. Because many redirects are typically involved, it is very useful to have a tool that shows them all. The color coding helps to quickly focus on the relevant HTTP messages.

You can also make an export of the trace to import later, or to send to e.g. support to help diagnose an issue.

You can actually see the requests, the responses, all the back-and-forth, and it does it so quickly. Speed like you wouldn’t believe. I’m telling you, I looked at the logs and thought, “Is this plugin working for me personally?” That’s how good it is.

If you’re serious about SSO (Single Sign-On, for those who might not know), if you're in the game of securing things, or if you're just tired of being left in the dark when it comes to SAML, you need SAML-tracer.
