- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Rusty, neljä vuotta sittenDoes what it says. The about:config flag "accessibility.blockautorefresh" was not working on independent.co.uk for me for some reason (thought it works fine for other sites such as buzzfeednews.com), and this add-on is doing the job just great. Thanks!
ETA: There is one problem though, the add-on also disables manually reloading/refreshing black listed sites/domains. I suppose it's easy enough to just load a duplicate tab and close the original, but not quite ideal. Ymmv. - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Sea Eagle, neljä vuotta sitten

"Save the following in Options and then reload the repubblica.it page for the settings to take effect:
List of hostnames (one per line):
repubblica.it"
result: REFRESH and again and again...i really think this is a fake add on
on repubblica.it it fails...i've setted this:
List of hostnames (one per line).
repubblica.it
List of hostnames (one per line).
https://www.repubblica.it/
https://www.repubblica.it/index.html
https://www.repubblica.it/index.html?refresh_ce
but the add on fails and the site refreshes the page in a frustrating way...hiow to solve..??

If a tab is stopped from auto reloading, don't allow it to load a URL that starts with one of the following URLs:
https://www.repubblica.it/index.html?refresh - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 16860713, neljä vuotta sittenouf, marre des auto update des pages web
- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 16961747, neljä vuotta sittenFor some unbelievably stupid reason, most newspaper sites auto reload every 5 minutes. It is crazy. Thank you for this add-on, which stops that.
- Arvioitu 1/5kirjoittanut Cris Jolliff, neljä vuotta sittenDoes not work on Pinterest.com, unfortunately this was the sole website I loaded the plugin for. Happy to work with developer on solution, but I'm just a user, not a programmer...

lähetetty neljä vuotta sittenWhen a page is reloaded, the tab activity indicator or throbber will appear on the tab (ping-ponging dots, hourglass, or spinning circle). When I set my computer date ahead by a day and select a Pinterest tab, new pictures will load, but there is no tab throbber. It looks like only part of the page is being refreshed. This extension can't stop something like that. - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Ramon V M, neljä vuotta sittenI needed Twitter to stop reloading automatically after a tab was inactive for several hours. I did not know that after installing the addon I had to reload the tab for the program to take effect. I assumed that it was not working and I contacted the developer by mail who answered me immediately. And after a few messages he told me that I had to write Twitter.com at the host window and reload the tab for it to work for the first time. And indeed, it worked! Thank you! :D

lähetetty viisi vuotta sittenSorry, the extension won't work on Chrome. When this extension blocks a tab from auto reloading, Chrome will show an error page. - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Nijaz Muratović, viisi vuotta sittenWorks perfectly on kilx.ba which use http meta refresh 270s, also number of blocked refreshes works fine.

However, the developer looked into it, and he won it over at last! This is the first "stop auto reload" extension that works on that site, as far as I know. The developer reacted quickly to my comment, and the problem was fixed in 48 hours or so.
5 stars fully deserved!!Kehittäjän vastaus
lähetetty viisi vuotta sittenThe extension has been updated and there is a now a section in the Options page that can stop a different URL from loading, if a tab is currently being stopped. Input "https://www.repubblica.it/index.html?refresh_ce" in that textarea and that should stop "https://www.rebublica.it/" from refreshing. - Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut webbertiger, viisi vuotta sittenExactly what I need. This addon remembers the specific websites that I want to stop the reloading, not others.

- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut syncfx, viisi vuotta sittenready good. I have been looking for this feature for many years. an excellent complement when the accessibility.blockautorefresh was not working. BRAVO to the developer @kgersen
- Arvioitu 5/5kirjoittanut Firefox-käyttäjä 13404087, viisi vuotta sittenI have been trying to stop drudgereport.com from auto reloading for some time. I tried noscript and ublock origin with no luck. I stumbled onto this addon and decided to try it out.
The first thing I tried was to add the url to the list...no luck. Then tried the host name...again no luck.
Then I remembered I could open the source code. I did and near the top was the auto reload code. I copied this line:
function autoRefresh()self.location.reload(true)
into the regular expression box and changed the (true) to (false) VOILA!.
That worked.
Now all that refreshes is the favico. LOL - Arvioitu 4/5kirjoittanut Michael0591, viisi vuotta sittenWorks well with auto refresh on newspaper websites in Australia.
