por Gemini62167, hace 9 mesesA fairly decent extension for YT except that it is losing some of the most desirable functions for some reason. The skip ad feature doesn't work at all no matter what option you choose.
I wouldn't mind the ads so much and let many of them play except for the fact that most of them are so ridiculous, it's like a video example of the kind of ads you find in the National Enquirer. They're utterly unbelievable (or should be), but for whatever reason it appears the same kind of marketing and advertising laws and regulations just don't seem to apply on the internet. You can claim just about anything or misrepresent, twist and bend truth with fact to confuse people into believing things with abandon. Its the same kind of tactics the consrevativce media has been using increasingly since the 1980s. It's been going on for two generations now and trying to point this out, prove fallacy with fact is impossible. And for this, I don't think I nor anyone else should be required to watch this nonsense, I don't care if it's how these videos are monetized or not. Lying and manipulation for the sake of selling product is not an excusable reason. Sorry, I'm one of the few that still believes in ethics in this society. And really, as far as YT is concerned, it wouldn't exist at all if people didn't upload videos to begin with, so I'm not one to fall on my knees in tears over the plight of YT not making enough money to keep its investors happy. They could all go f**k themselves.
To continue...
As for the functions of this extension that seemed to have ceased to work, the mixer section does not register any open tabs and thus does not work. And, should you reload your page you will have to hit the extension pinned to your toolbar to get it to begin functioning at all with those options that still work. Sad really. Because for what it is supposed to do, it offers much in a very compact and easy to use design.

> you will have to hit the extension pinned to your toolbar to get it to begin functioning
in the current firefox you have to first allow extensions to run always.
you don't sound like giving this free public service less than 5 stars (what makes one greedy or believing in negative-motivation?)
Ads: the features hides all banners and tries to skip different version of the skip button it is just one in 200 features, not relevant, not unique and we might stop or separate it for legal clarity https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues/2751#issuecomment-2560581960 (read all by @improvedtube)
BTW currently a bug might disables a few more features unnecessarily and unfortunately firefox has not viewed the fix yet since December 29.

I have zero understanding of coding or how to use github except following specific instructions, so wouldn't have a clue how I could add the mobile URL if that other person didn't.

publicado el hace 20 horashi :) (then consider to not down-vote hat you like? :D) a point of open source is one volunteer (or one commercial company) wont be enough / best for millions of users and 1000s of use-cases. You guys can really copy paste the mobile URL from the browser bar. (Or even search for the desktop URL in the code, to add it there as synonym (=Code contribution) And at doubt just ask, chatgpt and or on github, and so on. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19438257, hace 3 días

publicado el hace 6 díasHi! Please add the mobile URL in our github repo if you will. This is made for www.youtube since 2012 (and www.youtube changes alone required a lot of volunteering). The descriptions sais "... (+preparing mobile m.youtube)". (Please give fair feedback. We could flag it as "Misplaced bug report or support request", but prefer to keep information visible.) - Se valoró con 5 de 5por PP, hace 12 díasSeems to work for me. Haven't come across any issues for my uses

I just do not like that whenever I switch from a tab to youtube and vice versa, there is a short amount of time where the page reloads. I have no idea why it keeps doing this. It also has issues wherein despite not enabling the "Force videos to start from the beginning", it still forces videos to start from the beginning. It's annoying and worth the uninstall. Hopefully they fix such issues by then

publicado el hace 6 díashi! youtube changing is not an issue we share every day. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 18989911, hace 17 días
- Se valoró con 3 de 5por ueeu, hace 22 díasVery good QQL feature add, however it is extremely performance intensive, do NOT use the build in theme feature 100% will slow down site responsiveness.
Also it would be nice to add a action menu because the YouTube ui keep changing so I can stop seeing buggy UI
Edit: CPU usage wise I think so, but it seems to also interfere with page loading, most of the time for me it's a blank pageRespuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 6 díasYou mean full replacement UI?
There currently is a CPU hungry bug only for the moment while you are changing our settings and only in Firefox. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Vangxim, hace 24 días

Also, installing this caused all of my firefox tabs on youtube to stop responding, forcing me to close and reopen each.
It's weird to me how strongly they are marketing this addon, too, and the uninstall page vaguely tries to guilt trip you for removing the plugin. I realize this is recommended by mozilla, but it's tripping a lot of sus metrics for me, and I can't recommend it.
Edit: Further review of the developer's responses on low scoring reviews make me even more certain this isn't a good idea. 1) The developers respond to claims the plugin slows users' browser down with "nuh uh no it doesn't" and "yeah well why don't you measure the milliseconds with dev tools?", and 2) The devs claim that voting less than 5 stars is "voting against the project". Why does that matter? Why does your score on your open source, free project matter? It's almost like you're pushing for popularity on your plugin for some other reason. It's incredibly suspicious, and that type of language is couched in incredibly manipulative undertones. *Don't install this.* This thing is full of red flags.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace un mesHi, the word filter applies to our many layout and display:none features. However content-filtering can be the biggest roadmap item since we have not implemented or been asked, most of it. You can read up on it here https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/issues?q=is%3Aissue%20state%3Aopen%20label%3A%22Filtering%20%26%20Discovery%20(of%20Content)%22 )(half of which remains monologues with no user participation) https://github.com/MarcGuiselin/youtube-refined did some, yet only found about 1000 users then. Recently our new "competitor" Untrap has some too i think and is surprisingly the most / only likely developer to be reading our repo and roadmap. (If you can, suggest them not to collab / not reinvent this difficult task https://github.com/code-charity/youtube/discussions/1881). You can give fair feedback and you might not want to frustrate volunteers. We could also flag this ("Misplaced bug report or support request"), but prefer to keep information visible. There is no marketing budget and usually that would leave traces. When driven by suspicion, you might have more fun /success examining code. (You could enhance global security scanners or run your own).
