Reviews for YouTube Anti Translate
YouTube Anti Translate by Petr
Review by Citatus_Lingua
Rated 4 out of 5
by Citatus_Lingua, 2 years agoStill somewhat outdated, as it does not seem to catch description translations or the new mess that is the automatic playing of text-to-speech translations over the video, but it blocks the translation of titles just fine. Overall, does what it's intended to.

- Rated 3 out of 5by La Fougne, 7 days agoWorks well but youtube is stuck at 360p when activated... That's a real problem.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Sakujo, 9 days agoWhile it does seam to work (haven't had translated videos in a while), it does also slow down video load by a lot. Sometimes half a minute per video load. Maybe an issue with some combination of other YT plugins I have. But when this plugin is enabled it is definitely part of the cause. Disabled, videos load fast, in seconds. Other plugins I use: ublock origin, Sponsor block, youtube repeat button, return youtube dislike, remove youtube endcard, blocktube, auto high quality for YT. I don't want to rate it low, that wouldn't be fair, but obviously there is some issue.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Bueno, 10 days agoIt does work, but for some reason when I use it, the only option for quality youtube offers is 360p. Can't use lower or higher resolution.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18146655, 11 days agoDoes not work for me on mobile because it interferes with play-back of any video.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19475905, 13 days agoIt works, but unfortunately, it's overzealous. When I try to change the audio track or automatically translate subtitles, the add-on won't let me. This limitation of functionality is a no-go for me.
Edit:
Thanks for answer. If there is no way to know where the change came it is not fair to rate so low. Changed to four :)Developer response
posted 12 days agoThe addon has no way of knowing if the change came from you or from YouTube. If you want, you can always disable the addon (it has a quick menu, see screenshots) and turn it on later - Rated 3 out of 5by Devin Rozsas, 21 days agoIt works with some things, such as chapters (and not really that well), and video titles on my feed are still translated.

- Rated 2 out of 5by fushega, a month agoonly works like half the time. title translation blocking has barely worked at all for a while. I have the proper permissions enabled. I do not have other extensions that modify youtube. I made sure to update to the latest version of firefox (on pc) and it still does not work.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12744019, a month agoTitle option doesn't always work on start page and in the recommendations on the right side of the video but it's still worth hundred stars because it blocks the stoopid dubbing. Thx @Petr
- Rated 4 out of 5by ok, a month agoDoesn’t work all the time, I don’t know why that difference between some videos, that’s strange. But I know Youtube loves screwing with addons, and anyway, better than nothing !
I hate Youtube. Having to use ten addons to make it bearable, is unbearable. - Rated 5 out of 5by Vali Off, a month ago
