posted 7 years agoHi, I can only repeat that this is a workaround as the webextensions api doesn’t support the direct manipulation of favicons. That’s why extension like FavIcon Reloader don’t work in 57+. For single folders “Open all in tabs” is the official recommendation for reloading favicons. My extensions just automates this for all folders - which can be a lot. I could write a custom script without the api that only fetches favicons but this could easily mess up things in future firefox releases and would be time-consuming to maintain. Besides that I also check if a bookmark is still valid...

- Rated 5 out of 5by smuldr, a year agoAs someone who wipes their PC every so often and then installs Firefox this is great. I despise how Firefox cannot sync the favicons so I would have to manually open each website myself in my bookmarks. This just saves me so much time and prevents me from getting a headache. Well done.
