Grammarly: AI Writing and Grammar Checker App by Grammarly

by Ratteler, 2 years agoThe interface of this add on gets in the way more than it ever does any good.
Who on earth wants a little circle blocking the last letters of their search bar? This should ONLY be available threw the right click context menu like the way we have accessed additional features for decades.
Like a good special effect in a movies, you shouldn't know you even have an add on until you need it, and then it's access should be minimalist. Not an add to sell you coming to your web site.
Why would I EVER pay you if you are this annoying for free.
This app will only HELP you learn better English because it is SUCH a bad experience you will get better to avoid it.
Sadly... it still appears to be the best.
I perform an unnatural act for FOSS version. Or one that simply used google like enhanced spelling does on chrome.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Orion, 2 months agoThe addon is good, but it causes UI freezing, especially on MacOS, and to fix that I need to switch to other application and then back to FF.
- Rated 2 out of 5by MrB, 3 months agoSo awhile back just staying signed out and taking the few freebies they let you had was enough to let it live sitting there probably harvesting data or extrapolating or whatever word used to obfuscate how my usage gains them something. Then little annoyances grew and festered, like the suggestion popup starting to block more and more of the UI and causing real delays, less of this, more nag, more less, and less and less reasons to keep it around. Welp, one spellcheck and then you be a nagging me boy?! let me show you what ingrates gits when them britches gets too big and your booty ain't paying the rent no moe. Adios Grammar Nationalist Socialists let the purge of all things green begin! Whaaaagh!
