Audio Compressor by vatara

by AppleMango, a year agoEnabling this extension completely disables sound in some websites (like factorio.com). The sound only works when I open the video in a new tab. I have tried the 'none' preset too, but the sound only works when I disable the extension (either using the checkbox or using firefox). EDIT: Github issues shows that this is a Firefox problem, not an extension one. This problem can easily be fixed by disabling it for troublesome sites.

As of this post there seems to be an issue with this plugin and the website twitch.tv. I am unable to get audio while this plugin is enabled. When disabled audio plays fine through streams or VODs. Re-enabling the plugin, no sound is played (though the tab does note there is audio playing). Is there a known issue with Twitch and this plugin?
Otherwise, this is a 5 star plugin that replaced my previous audio balancing plugin after support was pulled.
Will update this review when addressed. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 15030857, 2 months agoWorks on some sites like youtube and netflix, on others it either doesnt compress at all or usually just makes audio silent
- Rated 5 out of 5by Tweedle, 4 months agoit actually WORKS!!! I had a compressor built-in to an "Improve YouTube" extension on Opera, but it wasn't made for Firefox.. and I couldn't fins ANY that would work on YT, let alone ALL the audio... but then I found this and it works GREAT! And I don't have to refresh any tabs or restart the browser either, it worked right away - THANK YOU DEV TEAM!!!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Taffernakus, a year agoIf like me you struggled to hear properly the vocals while watching Netflix, then this is your miracle add-on extension.
An absolute must for any Firefox user!
This Audio compression extension add-on works amazingly well on a DELL XPS 13 Late 2018 (9370) with the default audio drivers installed.
I could not believe how good these made the built-in stereo speakers sound.
Phenomenal work on the DEV's side!
Get it while you can and mess around with the parameters until you get the desired outcome. - Rated 4 out of 5by Shyboy, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16275961, a year agoPerfect, when listening to movies online this app lowers the volume of spikes, that is, weapon, loud music, explosions, etc., while keeping the dialogues at the same level. And also it has a functionality to boost sound, which makes it even better for audios with very loud sound.
