As predicted, youtube went from having a monthly "hide shorts" button to a "show fewer shorts" to now not being monthly anymore but needing to press it every time on my YT homepage. because they love shoving them down your throat. i dunno if theres a glitch that causes it to be like this.. but i am very thankful for this extension just getting rid of them permanently <3

It doesn't work when going through searches. I've tried, the Shorts Tab still shows up. :(

Thank you for this. I have been trying to give signals to Youtube to not show me shorts. I always click the three ... and say show less or not interested but it still wants to shove them on my feed. I got fed up this morning and found this. Its great.
