Beim Versuch meine Bookmarksammlung mit Floccus und Nextcloud zu synchronisieren, bekomme ich eine völlig unverständliche Fehlermeldung:
Error! invalid Bookmark: {"guid":"mobile______"}
Diese Art von geheimnisvolle Fehlermeldung, die nicht zurückzuführen ist auf ein konkretes Lesezeichen, ist ein absolutes NoGo. Eine Fehlermeldung, die nur für den Programierer zu deuten ist, hat in ein Userprogramm nichts zu suchen. (Auch ein "invalides" Lesezeichen liegt in klartext vor, und kann als solches gezeigt werden!

Vielen Dank für das Feedback! Ich kann die Frustration sehr gut verstehen. Leider kommt bei komplexer Software nicht jede Fehlermeldung vom tatsächlichen Programm und kann auch nicht immer vom Programmierer vorhergesehen werden. Es handelt sich hierbei tatsächlich um einen bug im Programm, der bereits gemeldet wurde und an dem gearbeitet wird. Bugs wird es immer geben. Fehlermeldungen, die nicht auf Nutzerfehler zurückzuführen sind, sind damit nicht verhinderbar und leider per Definition nicht immer verständlich. Ich kann daher nur raten, die Erwartungen an von freiwilligen produzierter Software nicht zu hoch anzusetzen, und auch wenn die Software im jetzigen Zustand für Sie möglicherweise momentan nicht nutzbar ist, nicht gleich aufzugeben.
Ich arbeite daran. :)

    This add-on works great! I have been looking for an extension like Xmarks for several years after it was shut down by LastPass and this does the job well. It takes a bit of time to set up, but--once it is running--it is amazing. I am able to easily sync between Firefox (and branches), Chrome, Edge, & Brave across two different profiles. Synchronizing with Opera (because of its different structure for bookmarks) ended up making a bit of a mess. Strangely, on Brave, it took what was on the bookmark in every other browser and put it into a folder with folders for other bookmarks all in the bookmark bar. While that one wasn't perfect, having all my bookmarks everywhere is great. Even the mobile app allows for two profiles, which keeps the phone in sync as well.

    It would be even better if they would make an extension that would install into Firefox mobile.

    Does a great job! Keeps my bookmarks synced between Edge, Firefox and Chrome on multiple computers. I just wish this worked on Firefox Mobile as well.

    I was using xBrowserSync, since it stopped working on my Chromebook, I changed to Floccus. It syncs flawless on Firefox, Brave and Chrome using Google Drive.

    I have around 3000 bookmarks. After restructuring them this extension uses 100% of one CPU core and looks like it hanged (nextcloud backend). Also I can't cancel sync.

    Great extension to sync bookmarks with different machines and have a full backup in your nextcloud (safe from all GAFAM and Mozilla Foundation that spies on your data now).
